I am replacing my old gas fired boiler.
I was given 2 different proposals for the new Burnam Series 2 gas fired boiler model 206 (I have 3 zones).
1. Install the circulator pump on the pipe going out of the boiler plus, 3 zone controls. I was told that such configuration reduces amount of air in the heating system.
2. Install 3 circulator pumps (one per zone) on the pipes coming into the boiler (that is how it is set up now).
Is there a right way?
What is a reasonable price for such job? I was qiven quotes fom 6000 to 8900?
Thanks

Thank you, heaterman.
Are you suggesting that it is better to have 3 zone valves and one circulator pump instead of 3 circ. pumps?
If so, could you please explain why? I was told that 3 pumps is better then one becuase in case one pump is not working I'll still have heat in the house.

| New pumps hardly ever break anymore and even if it did you would still get some heat by gravity flow. Unless one of the zones is extremly large extra pumps arent needed.
