| Is it possible to replace the box alone on a model PV73SL? I bought a house and the previous owner left water in the burner, it froze and cracked. Can I get the blue box used? Is it worth it? Otherwise the system is in good shape, it's only 5 years old. Please advise. Thanks

| Are you talking about the indepence gas boiler? If the boiler cracked your best bet is to just replace it. Sorry but their is no really easy way out :(

| Thanks heaterman. Is the V8 series the newer version of the PV73SL, and would this save me any time in doing a swap-out?

| V8 is an oil fired boiler, You should really contact your contractor and get an estimate so you know what your looking at for material and price and then work off of that.
