hi ,im looking for some info on this unit that is installed in a home in freehold nj i recently purchased.

the history is, in 2001 this unit was installed, the owners were in there 80s, after installation ,the pipes started to break loose, the house was abandoned at that time.   the installers fixed one pipe after another ,and they kept breaking, finnaly the older people left and stayed at there daughters home.  the installation looks shabby, the installers did not use sweat fittings, compression.

the sellers (daughter of older people) stated that they think the system is hot water.

i though it maybe steam, there is a mix of radiators and old cast iron baseboard inthe home, and the daughtrer stated that when the last pipe broke, the house filled up with they thought smoke, it was actually only steam. no one has been in the house since 2001, so i could expect many broken pipes.  im looking for someone to get this sytem up and running ,if it is the correct system.  im also looking the efficiency of this unit if anyone knows. thanks mark b
